So two weeks ago, I was invited to an event, Abstract Art & Appetizers which featured the art collection of Herb & Felicia Gray, www.thegrayartcollection.com The art was so inspiring, I was sat.

Prior to attending the event, I was working on some black garments, for a long time client/singer, known as The Prince of Sophisticated Soul. A couple of days later, as I was, finishing up the productions on those black pieces...I felt inspired to work with some of my African wax cotton prints. I decided to create some inventory, for the SHOP & the studio racks. Weirdly I felt a sense of urgency.

WHY??? was I pressed I asked myself. I assumed I was just being...well...me... working on several things all at once. Which is the life of this particular artist.

When it was all said and done I crafted a mini-collection of Sleeveless Shirts (plus a couple of scarves), in a mix of African prints. Fast-forward: As I was talking with a friend about the new pieces, while posting images from the Abstract Art & Appetizers event, it hit me....the art I viewed was highkey my inspiration.
